FAUJI’s BIRTHDAY

Born in a well-to-do family in Cuttack, part of the Orissa Division, in the Bengal province on the 23rd January 1897, Subhas Chandra Bose was the ninth child of advocate Janakinath Bose and mother, Prabhavati Devi. It is on this day, every year, the world celebrates the heart and works of a beloved fauji, Subhash Chandra Bose.

This day is a tribute to the most celebrated revolutionary, a man with a visionary and someone who taught the generations to come – that it was the willpower that mattered and not the circumstances.

Bose was a man of great courage and willpower; a true son of his motherland; a scholar, a patriot, a leader, an intellectual, a visionary, a socialist, and a warrior. His untiring efforts for the freedom of his nation earned him the greatest and most respected titles of all times, Netaji.

Earlier celebrated as ‘Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti’ , the Government declared this day as “Parakram Diwas” or “Day of Valor” a couple of days back.
