As we ponder over the year’s end
May we to our own hearts tend
As we did witness a pandemic
Which was in itself epistemic
May we bow heads in gratitude
Amidst lost lives in multitudes
Reliving blessings in plentitude
Resurrender to the beatitudes
As the universe displays in unison
May the anthem be raised in ovation
Of harmony, love and compassion
Among mankind in this generation
May our hearts be wholly redeemed
May our minds be rightly renewed
May our words be greatly refined
May our actions be solely kind
Let us press on to days to come
With hard endurance as we run
Reminiscent of the sacrifices many
Laid down and in-store aplenty
