The Praying Hands

Heads Bowed Down
Her eyes tightly closed
With no glimpse of a frown
Palms together fingers tightened

Tears rolled down her eyes
Dripping down her cheeks
While I stood in surprise
Without the slightest squeak

She moved her head
Once, twice not more than thrice
Her spine was all bent
But her ribs did up and down rise

I stood still and quiet
Thinking she would open her eyes
When all the while she just kept
Chanting the syllables

Her tears kept
Rolling down and did cover
As she kept on praying
I think that’s her superpower!
