“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life.” ~Steve Jobs
As time progresses, there are a myriad things that can happen, which include growth, decay, and healing. Everything in this world works within the limitation of time. Valuing time is one of the crucial things that all successful people have imbibed in their lives. If we don’t realise the value of the time, we can’t use it productively. Because of how quietly it moves along, it may often be difficult to fully perceive how much time we are losing daily. But once lost, this intangible resource can never be regained.
Shakespeare says in Macbeth, “Let every man be master of his time.” All of us have the same 24 hours in a day, but how we use it is what makes the difference. Managing time well is possible only when we set our priorities right. Once we learn how to do this, not only would it lead to productivity in our lives, but it will also help us respect the time of those who are connected with us or work with us in some way.
Through proper time management, we can not only utilise time to live in the present, but also to invest it for the future; to invest it in our relationships, our talents and our skills. Let us never forget the age-old saying, “Time and tide wait for none.”
