Salt of the Earth

The media is flooded with influencers, who play a crucial role in society today. But to be an influencer for good is hard. Ernie Harwell, an American sportscaster, said:” Everybody we meet has an influence on us and an impact – good or bad. And I think that’s why we have to be careful with the way we handle people because what we are doing is making an impact. “

We are a great creation of God, created to reflect His greatness in our character. In this regard, outward appearances don’t matter much compared to the deep and subtle influence we have on others around us. Whether we are tall or short, an extrovert or an introvert, whatever the world describes us as pales in importance before the sheer influence each of us has the potential to make in this world.

Salt is a substance of low price, but of high value and influence; it is indispensable for taste and handy for preservation. The Bible says “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”

We are created in God’s image to reflect Him; to love others , to serve the poor, to nurse the sick, and to help the needy and helpless. Preserve what God has placed in you and impart it to all of humanity.
