Way to greatness

There was a girl named Jessica who was leading a project in her company. She was very good at her work and a down-to-earth person. She believed true greatness was found in serving others. So, she used to help others wherever it was possible for her to do so. She was newly promoted and because of this some of her colleagues didn’t like her. They started spreading bad things about her. Jessica came to know about this and felt very bad.

After a few months, Rebecca, who was one among the people who had spread rumours about her, faced escalations from higher authorities due to errors that she made in her work. This led Rebecca to go into depression and was on the verge of giving up at work. Jessica came to know about this. She met Rebecca, encouraged and motivated her in such a way that Rebecca handled that phase in a very positive way. Jessica continued to motivate, guide and support Rebecca to reach greater heights at work. She showed Rebecca what true greatness looks like.

The above short story shows us what true greatness really means. It is not getting fame or a good job or to be rich. True greatness means to be humble, forgiving, serving, helping, motivating or encouraging others even when their behaviour towards us is not good or when we achieve greater things in life. The Bible says, “Whoever makes himself great will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be made great.” So, let’s serve, encourage, motivate, support and guide others who are in need. Such small acts of kindness driven by an understanding that true greatness is in serving others can be contagious and inspirational.

Let us all take this message to heart and commit ourselves to serving others in our daily lives. Remember that true greatness is not found in accolades or status, but in the way we uplift and empower others. By making a conscious effort to serve and uplift those around us, we can create a ripple effect that inspires others to do the same. Together, we can create a world where kindness and compassion are the norm, and where everyone has the support and encouragement they need to thrive. Let’s be the change we wish to see in the world and spread the message that true greatness comes from serving others.
