Finishing Well

Robin Sharma, the famous writer, wrote a book titled ‘Who Will Cry When You Die?’ Those who lead an impactful life can make a signature in someone’s heart and such people’s lives and deaths will leave a mark. All of us have different duties and callings to be completed. Finishing a task may be easy, but “finishing it well” requires extra effort.

Life is like a race planned by God. He doesn’t want us to pull out of the race and leave the track at any point. If we choose to rely on him, God himself will strengthen us to finish this race, and finish it strong. Paul, an important figure in the Bible, spent his entire life impacting people and building communities with the message and way of life that Jesus entrusted to him. At the end of his life, he confidently announced, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.” Oh how awesome it would be to be able to say something like this when we know our life is ending! This is what God intends for each one of us.

There is a common phrase, “The last impression is the lasting impression”. The new year, with all its opportunities, is waiting for us. Dream new goals, but more importantly, work hard and finish well.
