Launched earlier this week, the much anticipated OnePlus 9 series for 2021 have registered 324 percent more pre-orders on day 1 as compared to the OnePlus 8 series. OnePlus co-founder and CEO Pete Lau revealed this on his Twitter handle. The series features OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9R smart phones. Lau, however, did not share the exact numbers of the pre-orders for each model.
Meanwhile it should be noted that only OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 are currently available for pre-orders, as OnePlus 9R pre-orders are expected to begin in April.
“There’s really just one thing I can say: thank you, to all our community, old and new.” Lau tweeted this on Friday. However, he neither gave the details on how many total smartphones were pre-booked, nor did he reveal any information on model-wise pre-booking numbers.
The OnePlus 9 series will start at ₹ 39,999 in India and will go up to ₹ 69,999 for the most expensive variant of the OnePlus 9 Pro.
OnePlus 9 comes with a starting price of ₹ 49,999 for the 8GB RAM option + 128GB storage variant, while ₹ 54,999 for the 12GB RAM option + 256GB model. OnePlus 9 will be available in Arctic Sky, Astral Black, and Winter Mist shades. The OnePlus 9 gets a flat display as well. This phone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 at its heart.
OnePlus 9 Pro starts at ₹ 64,999 for the 8GB RAM option + 128GB storage configuration and its 12GB RAM option + 256GB storage model carries a price tag of ₹ 69,999. OnePlus 9 Pro debuted in Morning Mist, Pine Green, and Stellar Black hues. The OnePlus 9 Pro is being announced first with focus on the camera. OnePlus has partnered with Hasselblad for the camera. The OnePlus 9 Pro has a 50MP ultra-wide camera, 48MP main camera. For the 48MP camera, OnePlus 9 Pro is using the Sony IMX 789 sensor, which is exclusive to OnePlus. It comes with the Fluid Display 2.0. It has a LTPO display for better battery consumption and efficiency. OnePlus 9 Pro runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. It also comes with a 5-layer cooling system for better gaming performance. It comes with Warp Charging or Warp Charge T, which will charge the phone to 100 percent in just half an hour.
The OnePlus 9R is priced at ₹ 39,999 for the 8GB RAM option + 128GB storage and its other variant 12GB RAM option + 256GB storage model comes at a price of ₹ 43,999. OnePlus 9R was launched in Carbon Black and Lake Blue color options. The phone runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and has a triple camera at the back.
The OnePlus Watch was also announced which is priced at ₹ 14,999. It comes in a circular dial with a 46 mm size and a 1.9-inch AMOLED display. It also comes with support for Blood Oxygen monitoring. The Watch is water and dust-resistance is Swim-proof and supports 110 activities.
